Exclusive Interview with Kendra and The Bunnies

Hi Kendra! Great to speak with you today!

Thanks for inviting me to interview.

What have you been working on lately?

I actually just released a new music video for my song "Passion Roulette". You can check it out here: https://youtu.be/dqtTa95xo7Q

In a couple weeks, I have another stellar music video debuting for the song "Who Wants to Rock with Me".

And the most RECENT newest news is that I will be recording another project at Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco with my full Kendra & the Bunnies band.

The album is going to be focused at about 8 songs.

When was the first time you recall thinking that you wanted to pursue music as your career?

I have been actively pursuing entertainment as a career since I was four years old. I started in the theatre with musical theatre, then branched into film training, then classical acting in college. I sang, played guitar, and wrote throughout those years, so it was really just a matter of time. I decided writing music could be my main driving force of creativity once I had my spiritual awakening at the tail-end of college.

Who are some of the artists currently inspiring you?

Oh, wowzers. So many always. Z-Ro, Doja Cat, Big Gigantic, Lana Del Rey, Ariana Grande, Lil Nas X. Phish & Widespread Panic, always.

You have been playing some live shows here and there, correct?

Yes! I have several live shows coming up! You can read all the tour dates here: https://www.kendraandthebunnies.com/copy-of-media-1

The two upcoming FULL BAND shows are:

Thursday, August 12 at The Viper Room

Saturday, October 2 at The Mint

What is your favourite song to perform?

"So Hollywood" by me & "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane, which is why I named myself Kendra & the Bunnies.

How do you stay motivated on days where you don't feel like creating?

I just freaking do it, while taking a lot of breaks and drinking something fizzy like an energy drink.

I wasted several years of my life, through my teens & very early 20s drinking, so I am grateful to be where I am at now, period.

That being said, if I got sober earlier, I could be even farther along the path then I am now. So, there's that. Whenever I am unmotivated, I think, "You had your fun!"

The next question I always get when I tell people that, and they realize I have so much life experience, is "Well, how old are you??" The answer is, I am still very young. I just quit drinking recently and that was at 25. I am wise and seasoned from all those reincarnations in past-lives and late nights up thinking.

You have been releasing a lot of music and videos lately! What has been one of your favorite moments of the last few months?

Awe, thanks for paying attention! Besides releasing new music, my favorite moments over the last few months have been writing my even newer songs.

The ones I am about to record this fall. I always like to look out what is coming up next on the horizon.

One time at a show, one of my fans told me to "Stay inspired", because I inspire them.

That's what I do now, stay inspired.

Please let everyone know how they can keep up with you and your music!
