Allegra really seems to be a jack of all trades. The newcomer on the dance-pop scene is behaving like anything but at the moment, and not content with taking the YouTube world by storm (featuring in Kurt Hugo Schneider’s cover version of Taylor Swift’s ‘Lover’ and now Selena Gomez's smash hit number 'Lose You to Love Me'), the pop princess in the making is now storming not just one but two Billboard Charts.
‘All About Us’ is a positive reflection on prioritising the relationships in life, amidst turbulent times and other distractions. It’s a timely message and a surprising one to hear from such a young mouth, but, then again, age has never been something which Allegra has let stand in her way.
Having begun to play instruments at the tender age of just 5 years old, Allegra now writes all of her own material, and her talent was recognised by none other than Chris Herbert, the brains behind the Spice Girls, and hit-making production powerhouse - Audiofreaks.
Now in the wake of her debut release, Allegra’s upbeat and joyful track can be seen climbing up both the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and Dance Club Songs Billboard Charts. She’s also making a dent in the iTunes Charts the world over, with the song reaching #6 in the US, and #1 in Canada, the Netherlands and Italy.
With success like this and constant imaginative cover songs posting on her Instagram and YouTube, it’s clear that this teenage sensation has a wise head on her young shoulders and is ensuring that she is, indeed, one to watch.
